Allison Duettmann is the president and CEO of Foresight Institute, a leading San Francisco research organization founded in 1986 to advance frontier technology for the benefit of life. She directs the institute’s biotechnology, nanotechnology, neurotechnology, and AI fellowships, prizes, and technology trees, and shares this work with the public. She founded Existentialhope.com, co-edited Superintelligence: Coordination & Strategy, co-authored Gaming the Future, and co-initiated Foresight's AI Safety Grant Program, The Norm Hardy Prize for Computer Security, and The Longevity Prize. She advises companies and projects, such as Cosmica and The Roots of Progress Fellowship, and is on the Biomarker of Aging Consortium Steering Committee. She holds an MS in Philosophy & Public Policy from the London School of Economics, focusing on AI safety.

Allison can provide high-level technical advice on computer security for AI safety, neurotechnology for AI safety, and beneficial multipolar AI scenarios. She can provide policy advice on AI coordination and governance questions, including great power dynamics and existential risks. Through her role on various consortiums, and as advisor to various non-profit and for-profit projects, mostly with a focus on AI safety, she can provide advice or execute on structuring of new organizations, partnerships, and programs. Through her role as Foresight's CEO, she can provide advice on or help with the hosting of technical and policy convenings on AI, or with authoring or editing of reports and policy recommendations. Through chairing Foresight's technical programs and fellowships in computer science, neurotechnology, biotechnology, molecular nanotechnology, and space, she can help promote recommendations and engage a wide technical audience.
