For our client in eCommerce we are looking for an Interim Head of Logistics Planning & Controlling (m/f/d). Data: Start: asap Duration: 3 months + Workload: 100% Remote: possible Project language: English, German is a plus Responsibilities: o In this role, you work closely with our SVP Logistics and their leadership team to help them meet their customer service, quality and cost targets. o You lead a team of two colleagues (dotted line due to the interim assignment) o Drive the definition and implementation of an improved budgeting and daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly cost analysis process o o Track all costs vs budget o Explain period over period and actual vs budget deviations based on the underlying performance drivers and effects (e.g. volume, mix, efficiencies, etc.) o Help define and track savings initiatives to meet the 2022 budget o Create weekly and monthly operational plans (e.g. staffing needs based on a sales plan) o Lead the upcoming mid-term planning process (2021-2026) process for Logistics Must haves: o At least 5-7 years experience in a finance / controlling / panning role, ideally in an e-commerce company o Substantial experience in creating budgets for large operations / logistics teams in the range of >€100mio o Substantial experience in providing management-level period over period and actual vs plan deviation analysis o Thorough understanding of operations processes and the underlying performance drivers (e.g. UPH, indirect shares) o Experience with extracting larger data sets from BI systems and with analyzing them (e.g. SQL, Excel) o Hands-on mentality: we are not looking for a pure manager but for someone, who can "teach AND do"
